I have a zoho id and loved the program. Played with it a little. You can use this without having to purchase anything and its available wherever you go. Ease of use , setup llike Word.

We will one day have a staff to staff wiki for our branches that need to communicate with each other. I read a lot of the articles about safety on PATRON computers. The articles lead to great links and info.

Email does not work sometimes but if you have your library wiki as the homepage maybe they woulf read it.

All libraries need to get more input from their patrons. A true director listens to everyone & ask opinions. The public is what makes or breaks a library. If you have a library stuck in the 1950's with the "shhhhhhhhhhhhhh" stage you are in trouble. The library and staff should listen to everyone. Keep up with what your patron wants. Old books of no interest need to go... Clean up your stacks and get interesting.
Libraries can be the portal to the community.

Technorati was an interesting site. You can search for everything and anything. When you search by blog instead of post you get more direct info about your subject..... This is a very useful tool I'll have to add it to my del.ico account.

I setup an account in del.ico.us.... It saves time when you are not at your computer... You can get you favs anywhere you are and sometimes that is important.
